influenced by both Western and Manga style illustrations, her paintings incorporate comic illustration into realistic painting. Her series Fantasy Maidens explores the ideas of femininity and strength in juxtapositions of women’s images and visual metaphors. As an independent comics artist, Kim has published some of her original works as well as published comic strips in a major broadsheet in the country.
